San Francisco Area native Stephanie Ng began her piano studies at age five, and has since been the top solo prizewinner of such piano competitions as the Pacific Musical Society Piano Competition, the Edith Knox Concerto Showcase Competition, the UCLA Benno Rubinyi Piano Competition, the UCLA Atwater Kent Piano Concerto Competition, the Brentwood-Westwood Symphony “Young Artists of Tomorrow” Concerto Competition, and the Sylvia M. Ghighlieri Piano Competition. She was a semifinalist at the 2014 Washington International Piano Competition in Washington, DC, and in 2015, Ms. Ng won second prize at the Dorothy Van Waynen Piano Competition in Berkeley, California. Most recently, she won second prize in the concerto division at the 2017 Virginia Waring International Piano Competition.

As a collaborator, Stephanie was the winner of the chamber music prize at the Virginia Waring International Piano Competition in 2013, and performances include collaborations with Maestro James Conlon at the Broad Stage in Santa Monica, California in March of 2014 as part of the “Recovered Voices” project.

She made her orchestral debut at age sixteen with the Saratoga Symphony and has performed as soloist with the Colburn Orchestra, the Waring Festival Orchestra, the Brentwood-Westwood Symphony, the Peninsula Symphony, and the UCLA Philharmonia. She has been invited to attend several music festivals including the Banff Centre, the Orford Arts Centre, Pianofest in the Hamptons, and the Holland Music Sessions. She has performed in masterclasses for renowned artists and teachers such as Robert McDonald, Julian Martin, John O’Conor, Jean-Yves Thibaudet, Mikhail Voskresensky, Menahem Pressler, and Sergei Babayan.

Stephanie received her Artist Diploma at The Colburn School Conservatory of Music in Los Angeles, California, where she studied with John Perry and recently completed a Master’s Degree at The Shepherd School of Music at Rice University, where she studied with Robert Roux. This summer, she will be a full-scholarship fellow at the Montecito International Music Festival.
